About this course

Create a more inclusive experience for everyone in your global audience

By the end of the course, you’ll be able to:

  • Define what global inclusion looks like for you and your business

  • Identify cultural appropriation and follow guidelines to avoid it when creating content for your business

  • Plan launches that make use of urgency and scarcity in ethical and inclusive ways

In other words, you’ll be equipped to make intentional changes to how you promote and sell your offers.

You’ll be well on your way to creating a more inclusive experience for your global audience.

“I loved the case studies and examples you gave during the training. That helped me clearly see the “why” behind certain inclusion practices you were recommending.

Going forward, I’m going to take an additional step to pause and review to make sure that I’m involving everyone in my audience, whether I’m creating a new web page, offering a special bonus, or coming up with a new product name.”

Who this is for

Tell me if this sounds like you

You have (or want to have) clients from all over the world, and…

  • You want to take into consideration your clients’ cultures, backgrounds, and intersections, but you don’t know what you don’t know and that’s keeping you from taking action

  • You’re committed to creating spaces where everyone feels safe to share and grow, but it’s not always easy to tell whether you’re doing it “right”

  • You know you have work to do around diversity, equity, and inclusion, but it’s a complex, emotionally-charged area and you don’t know how to do it without feeling so nervous

  • You know that there’s so much more to creating a globally inclusive space than listing different time zones when you promote your events — you’re just not sure what, exactly

If so — you’re exactly the kind of person I had in mind when I created this course.

What is global inclusion?

Global inclusion is about running a business where people from all over the world belong.

As an online business owner, you have clients and customers who buy from you, coaches and educators you learn from, and friends and colleagues you collaborate with — they’re all a part of your community.

When people belong in your community, they show up as their full, authentic selves and feel valued and celebrated (instead of having to modify who they are so that they can fit in).

What you’ll learn

If you’re thinking of joining us

There are 3 things I’d like you to know

  • Global inclusion is not about accommodating everyone. It’s about making decisions that you’re happy with and that make sense for you, having considered the impact on individuals in the margins (not just the majority) of your audience.

  • This is an invitation to explore the options available to you, not a checklist of requirements. There are a lot of things you can change, but you don’t have to do anything you don’t want to do. I won’t tell you what to do, but I can help you decide what makes sense for you.

  • You’re going to make mistakes, and that’s okay. At some point, you’ll say the wrong thing or make the wrong decision. You might even get some bad publicity. It’s part of the process. During the workshop, we’ll discuss how to recover from a mess-up.

About Danbee

Who am I to teach you about diversity, equity, and inclusion?

Hi, I’m Danbee. Like you, I’ve noticed a shift in the online business industry toward creating a more inclusive, equitable, and decolonized world.

I have a unique perspective on diversity, equity, and inclusion in online business:

  • Before I started my own business, I led corporate diversity and inclusion initiatives in Sweden, Hong Kong, Indonesia, and Singapore. I’ve worked in tech startups, airport operations, construction and engineering, and advertising technology.

  • Born in South Korea and raised in Sri Lanka, I’ve spent my entire life navigating multicultural environments and experiencing the impact of colonialism in different parts of the world.

  • I’m a mechanical engineer and a chartered global management accountant by training. My superpower is breaking down complex ideas (like global inclusion) into simple parts (an action plan for your business).

  • As a web design mentor and online course creator based in South Korea, I understand what it takes to start and grow a business in the US-centric online business industry.

  • I work with online coaches and freelance designers from all over the world to help them get more clients. I get what goes into making money and impact through services and courses.

If you work with clients from different countries and cultures (or would like to) and are creating a space that feels welcoming and supportive for everyone, I’d love for you to join me for Global Inclusion Basics.

“I liked the way you wove in your personal experiences and shared anecdote to illustrate your points — it really brought it all to life.”

— Michelle Pontvert

Branding & Web Designer, France

“I feel so much better equipped to support a global community in my business! I also feel so much more conscious of how to be inclusive.

The real life examples, the tangible tools, best practices, your transparency when you didn't have “all” of the answers to people’s questions... The whole training was SUPER valuable for me.”

— Ashley Mondor

Master Coach, United States
